A Rider’s Paradise: Our Equestrian Center in NC

As a rider, the words of Rolf Kopfle capture your sentiments beautifully: “There are many wonderful places in the world, but one of my favorite places is on the back of my horse.”

Members feel compelled to establish a residence in Elk River Club for reasons unique to their families—for some, it’s the refreshment of the High Country, the world-class golf and our meticulously planned community. Others favor the culinary offerings at our Clubhouse, relaxing afternoons by the pool and evenings with live music and the breathtaking view from the deck at Robbins Sunset Park.

Equestrian enthusiasts are in a class of their own, and their list of must-haves for their beloved stallion or mare is exhaustive (as it should be). In a recent article in Equine Helper, Carmella Abel writes, “The facilities available can make or break a boarding stable.” She highlights the most common facilities, including stables, arenas, turn-out and trails (we provide this and so much more). Your search for an equestrian center in North Carolina where your horse will thrive will lead you to Elk River Club. In today’s blog, we’re spotlighting our first-rate Equestrian Center

Elk River Club’s Equestrian Center in NC

We recently unveiled our updated Equestrian Center, which is thoughtfully designed to provide ample room to ride and explore with the comfort you expect from the Club. Safety is paramount, and with nearly 40 acres of fenced pasture and paddock, the Center houses 30 spacious stalls, two well-equipped tack rooms and wash racks (inside and out). Just beyond the fence, 140 acres of riding preserve and trails beckon riders to let the stress of everyday life lift.

Riders are also able to take advantage of rings and our covered arena, which makes for smooth training no matter the weather. We invite you to wrap up a satisfying day on the trails by settling into our cozy member’s lounge as you chat with fellow riders.
